Dr. Andrew Lum earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University, followed by a Periodontics Certificate and a Master’s degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. He was initially drawn to periodontics for the precision and skill the specialty demands. Over time, he developed a deep appreciation for the crucial role periodontists play in the diagnosis and treatment of a disease that carries serious systemic health implications. He is excited and proud to be part of the next generation of periodontists helping patients achieve their best smile.

Dr. Lum loves helping patients preserve their own teeth, whether it’s helping someone overcome their fear of the dentist or utilizing the latest regenerative techniques to overcome bone loss. He believes periodontics requires clinicians to wear multiple hats as educators, scientists, and surgeons.

An avid traveler and foodie, Dr. Lum loves exploring new trails on his bike and sampling diverse cuisines around the world. He finds that regardless of how tired he is at the end of a long day, he still enjoys the time and preparation that goes into cooking a meal for loved ones.
