Dr. Michael R. Moreno earned both his DDS and Certificate in Periodontics from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry, and has completed advanced continuing education in implant dentistry. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontics, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, San Joaquin Dental Society, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

With over 40 years of experience in periodontics, Dr. Michael Moreno was drawn to the specialty for its unique challenges and the opportunity to positively impact his patients’ lives. Early in his career, Dr. Moreno realized he wanted to focus on a specialty that combined technical expertise with patient-centered care. Periodontics stood out because it required not only precision, but the ability to motivate patients to take charge of their oral health. For him, helping someone achieve optimal periodontal health and building their confidence is the most rewarding part of his work.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Moreno loves spending time outdoors—whether farming, fishing or simply enjoying time with his friends and family. He finds fishing particularly peaceful, appreciating the solitude and relaxation it brings after a busy day. It’s the people, both in and out of the office, that have fueled his passion for periodontics throughout his career.
