Posted On: 03/18/2026 I had a really positive experience with Dr. Blasingame at Team Perio. After a bone graft, I developed significant inflammation related to an underlying autoimmune condition, which made recovery more challenging than expected.

Dr. Blasingame was proactive and thoughtful in his approach, recommending light therapy treatments that made a noticeable difference. The therapy significantly reduced my pain and clearly supported the healing process.

Posted On: 03/01/2026 My fiancé recently underwent extractions and a bone graft procedure at Team Perio in Redding. I work in the dental field myself, and several years ago Dr. Blasingame placed my implants. He was professional, respectful, and highly skilled. Because of that experience, I confidently recommended this office and reassured my fiancé that he would be in excellent hands.

Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect the same standard of professionalism. During his surgical procedure, Dr. Liska made repeated sexual remarks, including comments such as “that’s what she said,” followed by a staff member responding, “yup, he sure did.” These were not isolated statements. The commentary continued throughout the appointment. My fiancé was in a vulnerable position and unable to speak up while actively undergoing surgery.

No patient should feel uncomfortable or trapped during an invasive procedure. He also sensed unease in the room, yet no one redirected the conversation or intervened. That silence was just as concerning as the remarks themselves.

He is a Purple Heart Army veteran who had been waiting a long time for this procedure. He went in understandably anxious but reassured because of my previous positive experience. He expected professionalism and respect. Instead, he left feeling unsettled on a day that was significant for his health and recovery. As someone in the dental profession, I understand the standards required in a surgical setting. Sexual commentary has absolutely no place in a surgical operatory. It is inappropriate, unprofessional, and undermines the integrity of patient care. An operatory is a clinical environment where patients deserve full focus, professionalism, and dignity at all times.

Additionally, during the procedure, a staff member sat beside him and continuously rubbed his shoulder. While this may have been intended as a form of comfort, it was not explained or consented to, and given the ongoing inappropriate commentary, it only added to his discomfort. In a surgical setting, any physical contact should be clearly communicated and appropriate to the situation. This felt unnecessary and further blurred professional boundaries.

Patients place immense trust in providers during surgery. In this instance, that trust was not upheld. Because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this office. SaLeenia K website Logo Google Review

Posted On: 02/07/2026 Dr. Liska and his whole team are amazing caring people. I had such a good experience and they really strived to make me feel comfortable the whole time. I got all my questions answered and Dr. Liska really took the time to explain things and educate me about bone grafts which I knew nothing about, but now realize what a great thing they are!
