Frequently Asked Questions

We will need current periodontal x-rays in order to see disease not otherwise visible. If your referring dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they be forwarded to us.

Our office uses digital radiography which significantly reduces your exposure to radiation. For your safety, and to provide the highest level of care, we may need to take a three dimensional x-ray (CBCT). This is to identify the location of nerves and sinuses, as well as to measure the height and width of your bone before implant placement.

Each patient has unique needs and desires that we must evaluate before fully answering that question. We have payment options that will help you restore the function, beauty, and longevity you are looking for.

What dental benefits will allocate to specific procedures is unique to each persons plan. We will work closely with you and your insurance company to help you maximize your benefits.

Recent advances in periodontal treatment allow us to successfully save most teeth. We do everything we can to save your natural teeth before moving to a replacement option. If your tooth cannot be saved, replacement with dental implants can be a solution.

Almost 50% of Americans have some form of Periodontal disease. Peridontal disease is a progressive and often a painless infection that slowly causes bone destruction around your teeth. Delayed treatment can cause a variety of problems such as:

  • The teeth become loose
  • Progressive bone loss
  • Increased expenses related to treatment
  • Decrease in the ability to chew and speak
  • Esthetic changes to your face

We have several advanced techniques that allow us to replace your tooth the same day it needs to be removed. In many cases we are able to place an implant at the same time we remove your tooth. We can then attach a replacement tooth to the implant.

We have several options for replacing missing teeth. In many cases where the tooth has been lost for a long period of time, it is necessary for us to regenerate new bone in the area of tooth loss, in order to place a dental implant. We will work with you and your unique needs to help you achieve your goal.
